By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The 2018 pool season has begun and it’s off to a fantastic start with another hot, sunny summer in The Woodlands. Township pools and spraygrounds are open throughout The Woodlands from now through Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Season pool passes offer considerable savings for those who use the pools often, and are now available for purchase online and in person. The passes may be purchased by residents for $40, ages 3 to 64; $15, 65 and up; and just $6 for children 0 to 2 years. After purchasing four full-price ($40) passes, residents may purchase additional season passes for just $15 each for others in the same household. For non-residents, the prices are $30 for children under 0 to 2 years and $120 for those ages 3 and up. There is no additional family member discount or senior discounts for non-residents.

For new season pool passes, pictures must be taken at The Recreation Center at Bear Branch, located at 5310 Research Forest Drive, or The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming, located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, within one week of purchasing a new pass. Hours of Operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For guests visiting The Woodlands and residents who only use the pool occasionally, punch cards good for six visits are available for purchase. These cards cost $30 for residents and allow access to all 13 Village pools, excluding the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center; $40 for residents with access to the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center; and $55 for non-residents for the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center only. All Township pools are able to accept credit cards, cash and checks, though cash is not recommended for large transactions.

The Woodlands Township operates swimming pools in parks spread throughout all the villages: Alden Bridge, Bear Branch, Cranebrook, Creekwood, Falconwing, Forestgate, Harper’s Landing, Lakeside, Ridgewood, Rob Fleming, Sawmill, Shadowbend, Wendtwoods, and Windvale. There are also spraygrounds (or splashpads) in five parks: May Valley, Sawmill, Shadowbend, Timarron, and Creekside Park Village Green. Bear Branch Pool is in the final stages of renovations and is expected to reopen later this summer.
