The celebration was held at Town Green Park, Northshore Park, Waterway Square, Hughes Landing, and Rob Fleming Park. All locations, with the exception of Hughes Landing, featured strolling entertainment and concessions. Live music played at every venue and other festivals activities included face painting, balloon art, and children’s arts and crafts.

The annual celebration culminated with an 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:30 p.m. at three out of the four launch locations. The primary fireworks display was located near Northshore Park/Lake Woodlands, with a secondary close-proximity and special effects display at Town Green Park. The 2022 Fireworks Extravaganza also featured a fireworks display in the Waterway Square District near Timberloch Place and Waterway Avenue and Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park. Earlier that evening the fireworks show was cancelled at the Rob Fleming Park location in the Village of Creekside Park due to drought conditions and unfavorable south winds. Read more here
