By  |

On Thursday, August 22, Rotary Club of The Woodlands hosted a formal book launch at The Woodlands Country Club for their 50th anniversary book titled In Pursuit of Service Above Self: A Celebration of 50 Years of Service by The Rotary Club of The Woodlands, TX  1975-2025.

View photos from the book launch on the Hello Woodlands Facebook page:

The hard-backed, 9”x12” coffee-table size book will have approximately 161 full color pages printed on 80 lb. glossy paper. The book will feature a brief history of The Woodlands (a background of The Woodlands that picks up where Roger Galatas and Jim Barlow’s book, The Woodlands: The Inside Story of Creating a Better Hometown, left off in 2004) along with the history of the Rotary Club of The Woodlands to show the significant contributions that Rotarians have made to the community. At the back of the book, 216 Rotary members (current members at the time of book formatting) will be listed with photos in yearbook-style. The book will be a great momento to celebrate the Rotary’s 50th anniversary, a keepsake for current and past Rotary members and supporters, and a piece of history of The Woodlands.
