Schools across Montgomery County closed Tuesday, January 16 due to weather
The following schools and school district campuses are closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 (as of 2:26 p.m. on January 15, 2024). Some schools have shifted to remote learning only.
Conroe ISD: “Due to ice road and bridge conditions and the extreme cold forecast during bus pick-up times, Conroe ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. Updates regarding school on Wednesday, January 17, will be shared on www.conroeisd.net, posted to the District’s social media accounts, and sent through our mass email and texting platform. Stay safe and warm!”
The John Cooper School: “The John Cooper School will be closed on Tuesday, January 16 due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous road conditions around our campus and in the area. There will be no after-school activities for students on Tuesday, January 16. We will share further updates and information tomorrow.”
Magnolia ISD: “Due to the icy road and bridge conditions and extreme cold forecast, Magnolia ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. Any additional updates and information will be shared on the district website, social media, and through our mass notification. Stay safe and warm!”
Montgomery ISD: “Due to inclement weather in the Montgomery area and hazardous icy road conditions, out of an abundance of caution, all schools and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. Students participating in extracurricular activities scheduled for Tuesday evening will receive communication from their coach or sponsor regarding any rescheduling of events. Schools and offices are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, January 17. Please be safe, remain alert to weather conditions, and follow the advice of local officials.”
Tomball ISD: “Schools Closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Due to the freezing temperatures and a strong wind chill, along with precipitation that could cause dangerous road conditions, Tomball ISD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Normal operations are expected to resume on Wednesday. Stay warm & safe.”
Willis ISD: “Due to the winter weather causing icy roadways in and around Willis, Willis ISD schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024. We will closely monitor the weather as tomorrow progresses and provide an update by the early afternoon/evening with any changes for school on Wednesday. Please stay safe and warm!”
The Woodlands Christian Academy: “Due to current weather conditions, campus will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Further updates will be communicated as necessary. Thank you.”
