Second Time Offender sentenced to Life in Prison
On Friday, January 10th, 2025, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office prosecutors Tamara Tyler and Criss Cole selected a jury on three felony sexual assault charges against Tracy Dean Williams. On Monday, January 13th, 2025, testimony began on all three charges. The evidence offered during the trial showed that Williams sexually assaulted two young family members in 2023, shortly after they moved in with Williams.

The jury heard testimony from one of the juvenile victims, the victim’s mother, a Forensic Interviewer, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), Detective Brannock Snellgrove, and Digital Forensic Analyst Nikki Neeley. Law enforcement officials presented evidence of sexual exploitation material found on electronic devices that belonged to Williams. On Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, the jury swiftly returned a guilty verdict on all charges.
During the punishment phase, prosecutors presented evidence of Williams’ 2013 conviction for Indecency with a Child, which involved two young siblings to whom Williams had offered housing assistance. The jury heard impact statements from those previous victims, now young adults, describing the lasting effects of Williams’ crimes. Assistant District Attorneys Tyler and Cole urged the jury to impose a life sentence as the only just verdict in this case. After deliberating for less than one hour, the jury agreed and assessed life in prison on each charge. Because two of William’s charges involved sexual abuse of children under the age of six, he is not parole eligible on those two cases. On the remaining charge of Sexual Performance of a Child, he will be required to serve thirty years before becoming eligible for parole.
The successful prosecution resulted from collaboration between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office- Special Victim’s Unit, The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and Digital Forensics Unit, Children’s Safe Harbor, and Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners.
ADA Tamara Tyler shared, “The sentence imposed by this jury ensures that Tracy Williams will spend the rest of his life in prison, where he belongs. Our office stands with the survivors whose courage brought justice to two families that was long overdue.”
District Attorney Brett Ligon stated, “Here we have another example of a man who was committed to sexually assaulting children. People who do this kind of thing only cease to do so when stopped by force, and that’s exactly what this combined Montgomery County law enforcement team and Montgomery County jury did here.”
