Student Art Competition Winner Announced in Advance of 31st Annual SCI://TECH

CONROE, TX – Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA) is pleased to announce Conroe High School eleventh grader Samantha Gallardo as the winner of the 2021 SCI://TECH Wright’s Printing Poster Competition.

Education for Tomorrow Alliance is pleased to announce Samantha Gallardo as the winner of the 2021 SCI://TECH Wright’s Printing Poster Competition, pictured here with art teacher Stephanie Scaletta.

Gallardo’s original artwork depicting the theme “Going Viral” was selected by a public vote from more than 60 entries. As the winner, Gallardo will receive a $250 Student Achievement Award. Her winning design will appear on promotional materials for the 2021 SCI://TECH Exposition, which kicks off on January 15.

SCI://TECH is a collaboration between Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Conroe ISD, The John Cooper School, and other area private schools that encourages scientific exploration. SCI://TECH’s 13 science, technology, engineering, and math competitions and events will take place in adapted socially-distanced or virtual formats throughout January and February with a virtual version of the Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High and the Entergy Junior High Science Fairs running January 15-22.

A 2021 highlight will include a video version of the Huntsman Elementary Science Festival featuring students demonstrating hands-on projects kids can conduct at home. More than 4,500 K-12 students participate in SCI://TECH annually. Volunteers can get involved at www.efta-us.org/scitech.
