The summer exhibition also includes a large Maker Space, where guests of all ages and abilities can create their own art from sensory materials like buttons, pipe cleaners, and pom-poms. The Maker Space is generously sponsored by AAUW North Harris County Branch.

“Art Unleashed” is an especially unique opportunity for guests who are blind or low vision. Dallas-based artist Tomas Bustos re-creates iconic masterpieces as bronze reliefs, and the exhibition includes several of his replica masterpieces, such as “Mona Lisa,” “The Starry Night,” and “Girl with a Pearl Earring.” While all visitors are able to touch his artwork, it is especially meaningful for guests who have never seen these masterpieces with their eyes.
