SPRING, TX – The Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Tammy Whitaker has accepted the position of President/CEO for the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce effective July 6, 2021.
Whitaker comes to the chamber with many years of member-driven, non-profit service experience as the Director of Events and Operations, Broomfield Chamber of Commerce (Broomfield, Colorado) and Director of Education, Associated Builders and Contractors Western Slope Chapter (Grand Junction, CO).
“I’m both delighted and excited for the opportunity to represent the business interests of the Spring Klein Chamber members as they move beyond the challenges of the recent pandemic,” said Whitaker. “I appreciate the confidence that the chamber board has placed in me and look forward to getting to know the current and future chamber members!” Whitaker is excited to be a Texan. Her husband, Randy, is on the staff of the Spring Independent School District.
Interim chamber president Martin “Ty” Cobb has accepted a full time position with a veteran service organization. However, the longtime Spring resident will continue to serve the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce as the newest member of the chamber board. “I love helping our Spring Klein community businesses,” stated Cobb. “I love helping veterans and first responders, and I feel that Tammy Whitaker will improve our chamber exponentially in all areas.”
“Hiring Tammy is another big step in the full reopening of the chamber,” added Spring Klein Chamber Board Chair Don Martone. “We are very excited to have her on board as our community continues the process of getting back to normal after the pandemic.”
