The John Cooper School’s Kaleb Smith commits to play football on College Signing Day
Kaleb Smith has officially announced his commitment to continue his football career at Southwestern University, where he will compete at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Southern Athletic Association.
Joined by his parents, Marquise and Kassie, Kaleb marks a major milestone in a journey that spans 13 years of competitive football. Throughout his career, he has competed with All In 7on7, Battle, and OT7, and has spent the last two seasons as a key member of The John Cooper Varsity Football Team. Among his standout achievements, Kaleb’s favorite memory as a Dragon is breaking the school record for interceptions, a testament to his impact on the field.


Kaleb’s accolades include being ranked among the top 15 defensive players in Texas Private School Football and earning All-Conference honors. He expressed gratitude to Coach DeHaven, Coach Carter, and the entire coaching staff for their support and belief in him. Looking ahead, Kaleb plans to study Business Management while continuing his athletic journey over the next four years. With excitement and determination, he now takes the next step, signing his commitment.
