By  |

In keeping with the venue’s mission of fostering new audiences and enhancing an appreciation for the arts, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is excited to announce its 2024 Performing Arts Series, featuring exciting symphonic experiences, family-friendly events and more!

To ensure that the arts are accessible to all, The Pavilion is proudly announcing that seating at Performing Arts events will now be completely free. The venue is excited to unveil this new opportunity and looks forward to welcoming even more guests for some incredible arts experiences this season.

The Pavilion will kick off its arts season with a brilliant blend of classical music and classic animation! Bugs Bunny at The Symphony has toured the world and will now perform on The Pavilion Main Stage with the Houston Symphony on June 18, 2024.  The world’s most iconic Looney Tunes — What’s Opera, Doc?. The Rabbit of Seville, Corny Concerto and more than a dozen others— will be projected on the big screen, while their exhilarating original scores are played live by the orchestra. This iconic concert spotlights beloved favorites as well as five brand-new animated shorts, and their classically infused music.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon with the Houston Symphony’s electrifying performance of The Music of Pink Floyd. Experience Pink Floyd’s psychedelic sounds intertwined with lush orchestral arrangements, featuring classics Money, Learning to Fly and Comfortably Numb.

As the “Summer Home” for the Houston Symphony, attendees are guaranteed to be entertained all season by an exciting lineup of orchestra performances including Star-Spangled Salute on July 3, Batman (1989) in Concert on July 26 and the annual Hocus Pocus Pops on October 17.

The Pavilion is happy to host The Woodlands Symphony for Once Upon a Symphony – a magical symphonic experience perfect for introducing young artists to the power of classical music. From a dazzling Firebird and Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty to musical selections from Disney movies, let your imagination run wild with this enchanting concert inspired by classic fairy tales and folk stories.

All seating is free for performing arts events and tickets not required! Guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the hill. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion and picnics must also comply with The Pavilion’s bag size restriction and/or be in original packaging.

Stage Lighters is an exclusive arts membership that provides access to the best of what The Pavilion’s arts programs have to offer, while also helping make the arts accessible to all. In appreciation of an annual gift, Stage Lighters will receive special benefits that enhance the arts experience including reserved seating, access to the Woodforest Bank Club and reserved Gold Lot parking during arts events, special invitations to member-exclusive arts events throughout the season, Pavilion swag and more.
