In partnership with Conroe Independent School District, The Pavilion’s Hats Off to Reading celebration was a FREE and festive literacy event that began at 5:30 p.m. and encouraged early reading by offering various literacy-based activities such as games, visiting with characters, making reading pointers, storytelling time and more. Children also had the opportunity to choose and take home a free book. During the event, author and former NASA spacesuit technician Sharon Caples McDougle read her 2021 picture book, Suit Up for Launch with Shay!
