The Woodlands Area EDP Announces its 2022-2023 Officers and Board of Directors

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) held its Annual Meeting and Partner Celebration on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at The Woodlands Resort.

At the Annual Meeting, Josh Urban EDP Past Chairman and Chairman of the Nominating Committee, with Memorial Hermann Health System announced the newly appointed officers and board members for the 2022-2023 term. The outgoing 2021-2022 board members were recognized for their contributions, Matt Bottorff, Soules Insurance Agency; Carrie Lujan, Trustmark Bank; Larry Napier, Linscomb & Williams; Amy Reardon, PNC Bank; and Danny Schroder, Plains Capital Bank.

Gil Staley, CEO provided an organizational overview of accomplishments for the past fiscal year. The meeting concluded with an awards presentation for the 2021-2022 officers. EDP has been the industry leader in promoting economic vitality of The Woodlands Area through the support of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses for over 24 years.

“Over the last year, we have put the lingering challenges from the pandemic in our rearview mirror. It was reported that requests for proposals were near record highs, with two significant wins in the life science industry. Fiscally, we ended the year with a strong balance sheet supported by a record number of new members. Overall, a very positive year!” said Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer of the EDP.

Immediately following the meeting, partners and guests attended a reception to celebrate the success of the organization this past year lead by Chairman of the Board, Paul Carroll of Avion Wealth.

Effective September 1, 2022, the newly appointed 2022-2023 officers include Chairman Christin Allphin with Woodforest National Bank; Vice Chairman Jim Parisi with St. Luke’s Health The Woodlands Hospital; Secretary Whitney Wall with Wells Fargo; Treasurer Dan Michalk with Waterway Wealth Management and Immediate Past Chairman Paul Carroll with Avion Wealth.
