UPDATE: The Woodlands Children’s Museum to close temporarily until April 10

UPDATE 3/21 5:42pm: “In light of recommendations to practice social distancing, the recent announcement regarding mass gatherings and with the extended school closures, The Woodlands Children’s Museum will be extending its closing through Friday, April 10, 2020, with a temporary determination to open Tuesday, April 14, 2020. With great team enthusiasm and collaboration, the staff at the museum have used this time to disinfect and thoroughly clean from the front door to the back door, eagerly awaiting the ability to reopen.” – The Woodlands Township

While The Woodlands Children Museum is closed, every Thursday and Friday the museum will still be sharing recorded videos of Miss Jan’s Storybook Theatre and Shadow Puppet Theatre. ORIGINAL: On Sunday, March 15, The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s Executive Director Angela Colton stated in a public message that the museum will be temporarily closing starting Tuesday, March 17 until Monday, March 23 with plans to reopen March 24.

The decision was made “in an effort to ease the concern regarding the potential spread of COVID-19 and in light of the temporary closing of CISD and other surrounding school districts until March 23rd.”
