By  |

The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA) concluded its annual LOVE Week, a five-day spiritual emphasis event, with service projects on and off campus. This year centered on the theme, “Love the Church, Be the Church,” and students in all three schools participated in activities designed to deepen their faith, foster community engagement, and serve others.

Throughout the week, Middle School families have been participating in a food drive to benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank. A group of students then traveled to the food bank on Friday where they partnered with Upper School students to unpack and deliver the sizable donation.

This year’s Upper School events provided students with opportunities for significant spiritual growth through daily worship and targeted breakout sessions. TWCA welcomed several youth pastors from eight area churches to lead these smaller group discussions. The sessions covered a range of topics, including the importance of faith, practical ways to get involved in the local church, and personal spiritual formation, offering students valuable perspectives from community faith leaders.

Upper School LOVE week culminated in a day of service on Friday, February 13. Students worked together to complete a multitude of projects benefiting both the school and the wider community. Some of the on-campus initiatives included assembling care kits for those in need, participating in a campus clean-up and packing meals for Mission of Hope.

In addition, small groups of students ventured off-campus to partner with local organizations, extending the school’s mission to “Be the Church” throughout The Woodlands area.

These community service projects allowed students to put their faith into action, making a tangible difference in The Pursuit of Service.
