The Woodlands Community mourns the loss of Dosey Doe owner

On Tuesday, September 30, Dosey Doe shared the following statement regarding the loss of their beloved owner, Steve Said.

“The Dosey Doe family is extremely sad to announce that Steve Said, owner of Dosey Doe in The Woodlands, Texas died September 28th at the age of 72.

The family asks for privacy during this time giving them an opportunity to grieve his loss.

Dosey Doe will continue to operate.

Funeral arrangements will be communicated at a later date.

The Hello Woodlands team had the opportunity to connect with and interview Steve Said during many community events, such as Coffee with a Cop with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Constable Pct. 3 Office and the opening of Dosey Doe Breakfast and BBQ.

The news was confirmed yesterday that Dosey Doe Breakfast and BBQ (also called DDBBBQ) closed permanently at its location at 2626 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. The restaurant first opened on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Per Dosey Doe’s statement, Dosey Doe will continue to operate. The Big Barn, a vintage 1840s barn transformed into a multilevel music venue located at 25911 Interstate 45 N, and Dosey Doe Coffee, a quaint coffeehouse offering breakfast, lunch & dinner with live music performances located at 8021 Research Forest Dr, remain open.
