The Woodlands Express closes 2 of 3 Park and Ride locations

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (March 19, 2020) – The Woodlands Township Transit will suspend The Woodlands Express commuter bus service from the Sterling Ridge and Sawdust Park and Ride locations effective Monday, March 23, 2020. Service from the Research Forest Park and Ride will be unchanged and remain in operation. Moving service to Research Forest helps maintain express service to the Texas Medical Center.

This consolidation of service locations provides for the continuation of service to Downtown Houston, the Texas Medical Center, and Greenway Plaza. The regular routes and schedules from Research Forest Park and Ride will remain unchanged at this time to provide adequate space for social distancing and seat spacing onboard the buses.

Passengers who typically catch the bus from the Sterling Ridge and Sawdust Park and Ride locations are encouraged to utilize The Woodlands Express service from the Research Forest location. Passengers are also encouraged to download and use the mobile ticketing app. The midday run back to Research Forest will remain in place.

Future announcements will be made if additional schedule adjustments are implemented. Follow the Transit Twitter for alerts and updates. Please stay connected to The Woodlands Township through our many communications channels. Learn more and sign up at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/stayinformed.
