UPDATE: The Woodlands High School Lockdown, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office units on scene

By  |

UPDATE 11/4 2:41 from Montgomery County Sheriff Doolittle: “I want to reassure our community that all students and teachers at The Woodlands High School are safe.

Our office received a call reporting a threat at The Woodlands High School, prompting a law enforcement response. Multiple law enforcement units remain on campus, and the school is secured. At this time, there are no reported injuries and no evidence of shots fired on campus.

Students will soon be transported by bus to a designated parent pickup location. The school will communicate that location directly to parents via text message. Even students who drove themselves to school will be transported by bus to the designated pickup location.

I am asking everyone to please avoid the area. Traffic congestion is creating challenges for our first responders and school buses as they work through this process.

Our priority is the safety of every student, teacher, and family. We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and cooperation as this situation continues to be addressed.

Respectfully,

Sheriff Wesley Doolittle”
