Weather Update for Montgomery County

Status Update from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A Winter Weather Advisory has now been issued for Montgomery County starting at 2 PM Thursday. A light freezing rain and sleet mix is possible as the front moves in tomorrow evening.

Later Thursday evening, after temperatures have dropped below freezing, ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible. This could cause slippery road conditions along elevated roads, bridges and overpasses overnight Thursday and into Friday morning.

We would like to remind our citizens to only call 911 in the event of an emergency. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue to monitor this situation and our next update will be on Thursday.

Any county road closures can be found via MCTX LIVE. Additionally, please follow the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the most up to date information.
