The Woodlands Township shared the following COVID-19 Update on Friday, May 8, 2020.

The Woodlands Township Board Update
Watch a video as Township Chairman Gordy Bunch discusses the reopening of businesses in The Woodlands. The Township Board of Directors will be meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020, in a virtual conference to discuss additional openings of Township facilities and programs.

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market
The Woodlands Farmer’s Market is currently closed, but tentatively opening May 23, 2020. Customers are encouraged to check the website, Facebook page or newsletter for definite details in the week prior to May 23, 2020.

Mobile Collection Site in Creekside Park
Harris County Public Health mobile collection site will be at Lone Star College in Creekside Park Monday, May 11, 2020 through Saturday, May 16, 2020. Everyone is welcome and must schedule an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled online at https://covcheck.hctx.net/ or by phone by calling (832) 927-7575. Drop-ins without a scheduled appointment will not be accepted.

Ready, Set, Riva Row: Boat House Re-Opens
The Riva Row Boat House welcomes residents and guests back for fun on the water! Boat House staff members look forward to seeing you again and are ready to take your reservations for kayak rentals, stand up paddle boards and swan boats.

The Woodlands Township is committed to providing residents and guests with a fun environment while still keeping safety as a top priority. Enhanced sanitation and safety measures have been implemented to ensure safe usage of the kayaks, life jackets, paddles and swan boats. A newly-implemented reservation system is available with parties booking in 10-minute intervals in order to follow safe social distancing measures.

To make your reservation for fun on The Woodlands Waterway and Lake Woodlands, please call 281-210-3965. Please note, to eliminate cash/card handling on-site, all payments for reservations must be made over the phone. No cash will be accepted. Riva Row Boat House is now open on a reservation system, observing social distancing, face masks and sanitization of all materials for the safety of everyone to enjoy a day on the water.

Many of The Woodlands hotel properties are open and ready to welcome you to their location. Below is a list of all open hotels in The Woodlands at this time. The Woodlands Resort announced it will reopen on May 20, 2020.

County News

Montgomery County COVID-19 Case Count
Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, confirms there are now 429 ACTIVE cases of COVID-19. That number includes 54 hospitalizations. 254 people have fully recovered! The number of total positive cases has increased 10 since yesterday to 699. Sadly, the 16th death related to COVID-19 is a woman in her 100s who died at Park Manor of Conroe, a long-term care facility. We offer condolences to her family at this difficult time.

Montgomery County will have a mobile COVID-19 Testing Site May 10, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tests will be conducted by appointment only at 9333 Airport Rd. Conroe, TX 77303. To register for an appointment visit www.txcovidtest.org or call 512-883-2400. See flyer for more information.

Harris County COVID-19 Case Count
As of May 8, 2020 (4 p.m.), Harris County Public Health (HCPH) has 3,175 positive cases (1,198 active cases). HCPH is also confirming that 1,907 of its patients have recovered. There have been 70 total deaths of COVID-19 in Harris County. None of these numbers include the City of Houston. A full description of the numbers can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/tzymvk5

The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389 and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County. Today, Harris County is reporting zip code 77375 has 54 cases and 77389 has 38 cases.
