July 2024 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer – at no cost to you. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. July is full with programs and events at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center! July 1-31, 2024 – Be Amazed Home Tour – Visit Grand Central Park in July and experience everything the community offers plus a few new things, including Kinetic Park, a place dedicated to getting our residents moving. July 3, 2024 – Star-Spangled Salute – The annual tradition that is ever growing stronger returns to unite communities, delight families and honor our greatest public servants once more! Star-Spangled Salute is back for another year at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, with a new face at the helm: Jason Seber. He’s conducted with some of the biggest names in classical music, and a diverse range of acclaimed pop artists, too. Expect energy, exuberance and excitement in every patriotically packed moment. And of course – don’t forget to come early! There will be tons of fun in the plazas and plenty of red, white and blue gear to go around. Learn More

July 4, 2024 – Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza – Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment and family fun at multiple locations around The Woodlands! The festival culminates with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area.

Enjoy a variety of activities throughout The Woodlands at 5 locations! All sites will feature live music beginning at 6 p.m. with bands playing until the Fireworks Extravaganza at approximately 9:30 p.m. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, oversized beach umbrellas and pop-up tents are not permitted at the Festival. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Thursdays July 11 – August 15, 2024 – Rock the Row – Experience Hughes Landing on scenic Lake Woodlands with live music Thursday evenings! Enjoy live music, happy hours & specials at Restaurant Row. Learn More

July 26, 2024 – Batman (1989) in Concert – Celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary, the “Batman” tour arrives at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with the Houston Symphony! Guests who attend will enjoy the film projected onto a larger-than-life screen while Danny Elfman’s iconic musical score is performed by a live orchestra. Released June 23, 1989, Warner Bros. Pictures’ DC Super Hero film “Batman” was the top grossing film that year and has remained a fan-favorite for more than three decades. The film was composer Danny Elfman’s first collaboration with director Tim Burton and the score was later nominated for a Grammy award. The “Batman Theme” has become an iconic piece, evoking the Caped Crusader for many generations. Expect a superheroic symphony – guests are even encouraged to dress up as their favorite DC Super Hero. (Please note that “Batman” has a PG-13 rating and runs for approximately two hours.) Learn More

July 4, 2024 – South County 4th of July Parade – The South Montgomery County Fourth of July Committee once again invites the community to celebrate America’s birthday with a festive parade on Thursday, July 4 at 9:00 a.m. The annual patriotic event is celebrating its 48th year in 2024 with the theme “Saluting the Past. Celebrating the Future.” The parade will welcome thousands of spectators who line the streets of Town Center along a 1.3-mile parade route. Participants typically include local dignitaries, local marching bands, street performers, fire engines, horses, and floats. Learn More

All types of cars/vehicles from classics, hot rods, exotics, and more are welcome. The Woodlands Car Club shares information about needful non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, and gives back through donations to the Market Street “Change for Charities” program. July 11, 12 & 13 – Plastic Film Outreach Days – Each year, tons of plastic film are turned into composite lumber – a plasticized material used in park benches, picnic tables, decks, fences, and playground equipment. This material is commonly used in our parks and pedestrian bridges. Want to learn more about how you can start turning your bags into benches? Visit The Woodlands Township at one of their upcoming Plastic Film Outreach Days! An expert will be available to answer questions and provide examples of recyclables films. July 19-21, 2024 – Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella – National Youth Theater announces its upcoming summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Kicking off the summer lineup, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is an exciting adaptation of the classic musical, which was nominated for a 2013 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical, and was the winner of three Drama Desk Awards, including Best Orchestrations. The talented cast, comprised of ages 11-19, presents the show July 19-21, at Concordia Lutheran High School, located at 700 E. July 20, 2024 – YMCA Kids Triathlon – YMCA Kids Triathlon, for Ages 6 – 13, will be held at the Branch Crossing YMCA in The Woodlands. Swim+Bike+Run = FUN! July 25, 2024 – Strike Out Hunger Bowling Tournament – Community Assistance Center will host their Strike Out Hunger Bowling Tournament benefiting CAC’s Client Choice Food Pantry on Thursday, July 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Main Event The Woodlands.
