SCI://TECH Events (Now – Feb. 24)

Education for Tomorrow Alliance engages the business community with local private and public schools, offering 13 science, technology, engineering, and math competitions and events. SCI://TECH spans several weekends starting January 19. Some events are open to the public, including the Huntsman Elementary Science Festival which highlights hands-on experiments and family fun. Volunteers are needed for several activities, especially Expo Day on Saturday, February 10. Learn more about SCI://TECH activities here. Sign up as a science fair judge here.

Author Visit with Sharlene Novak

Author Sharlene Novak will be reading her book Happy Tails Camper Stories: Lucy Learns to Share on stage at The Woodlands Children’s Museum at 11:00am, after which there will be a meet-and-greet where she will be selling and signing books until 12:15pm. Lucy is a little dog with a big problem on her first day at Happy Tails Dog Camp. At the end of the day, she has learned an important lesson about sharing. Learn More

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

Join The Woodlands Township for the 48th Arbor Day Tree Giveaway on Saturday, January 27 from 9:00am-Noon Rob Fleming Park located at 6055 Creekside Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77389. The Arbor Day Tree Giveaway is one of The Woodlands longest standing traditions where residents receive free seedlings to help plant trees today for our community to enjoy for years to come. For the One Gala “Break the Ice”

The For the One Gala “Break the Ice” will be a magical night to share stories of hope, make connections and remind those in our community struggling that they are not alone! It will be a night of community, fundraising and fun with dinner, auction, dancing, and a moving candlelight moment.
