Bike The Woodlands Day – May 16
The highlight of the month is Bike The Woodlands Day, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive.

This signature event invites residents to gather for a celebration of all things cycling. Whether attending by bike, foot or car, participants can meet local bike experts and enthusiasts representing a variety of cycling styles, including mountain biking, triathlon riding, hybrids and cruisers. Event tents will be set up at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center parking lot.

In the spirit of Bike Month, attendees are encouraged to ride to the event with friends, neighbors and family. The first 150 cyclists to arrive will receive a free snow cone, courtesy of Kona Ice.

At 9:30 a.m., participants can join one of three rides guided by volunteer leaders. All rides last approximately one hour.

  • The Pathways Ride: A relaxed 5–7 mile ride along The Woodlands Township’s paved pathways, suitable for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult).
  • The Road Ride: A 15-mile route through the Village of Creekside Park for more experienced cyclists.
  • The Trail Ride: A moderate 5–10 mile ride through the scenic trails of the George Mitchell Preserve.

The event concludes with an awards ceremony at 11 a.m., where winners of the Bike Month Ride Challenge, held May 1 through May 15, will be recognized for logging the highest mileage. Attendees will also celebrate student winners of the Bike The Woodlands Coalition’s second annual scholarship competition.
