Township officials to follow lead of two county public health districts

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (March 6, 2020) – As news begin to spread throughout Southeast Texas regarding the Coronavirus the past couple of days, The Woodlands Township has been in close contact with the two public county health districts that have jurisdiction in these matters. Public health and human services for residents and visitors of The Woodlands Township are directed by Montgomery County Public Health District and Harris County Public Health District. The Woodlands Township organization will continue to follow the lead of both these organizations in implementing protocols for public spaces and in messaging to the community.

Following the lead of federal, state and local health officials, The Woodlands Township encourages visitors and our local residents to be aware of basic best practices and discuss a plan for your family and business continuity to implement in the event that the region is exposed to the virus and additional measures are implemented by the CDC, the Texas Department of State Health Service, Montgomery County Public Health District, Harris County Public Health District or local school districts.
