Traffic Advisory: Avoid travel delays during The Woodlands Marathon
Note: The following press release was sent as a courtesy to The Woodland Township residents. The Woodlands Township does not produce or sponsor The Woodlands Marathon.
The 14th annual edition of The Woodlands Marathon, along with The Woodlands Half Marathon and The Woodlands 10K, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Although this event is not sponsored by the Township, it continues to be a highly anticipated tradition that showcases athleticism and community spirit. It attracts participants and spectators from across the region, representing 40 states and 16 countries.
Event and Traffic Advisory:
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for runners and attendees, traffic in and around the racecourses will be impacted from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Motorists are strongly advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes during these hours. The following roads will experience closures, traffic diversions and contra-flow configurations to accommodate the event:
- Lake Robbins Drive: Eastbound and Westbound lanes
- Grogan’s Mill Road: Northbound and Southbound lanes
- Research Forest Drive: Eastbound lanes
- Kuykendahl Road: Northbound lanes
- Timberloch Place: Westbound lane
- Lake Woodlands Drive: Eastbound lanes
- Woodlands Parkway: Outside westbound lane (inside lanes reserved for the race)
- East Panther Creek Drive: Northbound lane
- West Panther Creek Drive: Northbound lane
