Trombone Christmas Comes to The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The first-ever officially sanctioned Trombone Christmas The Woodlands will perform on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5:30-6:30pm at Market Street in The Woodlands.
Organizers are expecting 50 trombonists from across Texas to join together to play holiday favorites. The guest conductor for this inaugural event is none other than the leader of the infamous Marching Owl Band (MOB) of Rice University, Chuck Throckmorton. Throckmorton also leads the Houston Concert Band.
Trombone Christmas was established in 2010 in Anaheim, California, and has grown to include 17 locations throughout the United States. Trombone Christmas The Woodlands is the newest addition, and the first in Texas.
Trombone Christmas is sponsored by The Woodlands Concert Band, Market Street, RC’s NYC Pizza and Pasta The Woodlands, Fleming Musical Instruments, and The Woodlands Academy of Music.
