Vietnam Veterans receive recognition From Gold Star Mothers at Honor Cafe

CONROE, TX – On Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m., the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma and the Greater Southeastern Texas Chapter, hosted a number of Vietnam Veterans at Honor Café, 103 North Thompson, Conroe, Texas.

The purpose of the program is to honor the service of Vietnam Veterans as a part of the Department of Defense’s “Vietnam War Commemoration.” The American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma is a commemorative partner in this effort and seeks to locate as many Veterans as possible to recognize, honor and thank them. 

Carla Wicks, American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma President, offered the pin presentation to each Veteran with accompanying Presidential Proclamations.  Further information regarding the program, which will end in 2025, can be obtained by visiting the national website: www.vietnamwar50th.com.
