THE WOODLANDS, TX – For the very first time, the Woodlands Area Youth Symphony (WAYS) will journey from their hometown of The Woodlands in fulfilling a special part of their mission: to encompass the region surrounding The Woodlands including Conroe, Montgomery, Willis, Spring, Klein, Oak Ridge and Tomball.

On March 25th, the spacious 4 Corners Conference Center in Tomball will host the orchestra with doors opening at 6:30 pm. General Admission seating is only $10 for this program of entertaining and educational music.

Founding Director Darryl Bayer will lead the group in a concert that takes the audience around the world in a program called “Four Corners – Music from the North, South, East and West.”

First stop, south of the border to Peru with a hypnotic arrangement of El Condor Pasa. Next is a journey to the east as the orchestra performs Variations on a Korean Folk Song by John Barnes Chance. Western classical music is represented by the British composer Sir Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March in D major. Back in the North America, the orchestra will perform A Salute to the Big Bands to conclude the concert.
