13th Annual Conroe Arbor Day event gives away free trees to residents

The 13th Annual Conroe Arbor Day event was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 and gave away trees to Conroe residents from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Founder’s Plaza in Downtown Conroe.

Sponsored by Root for Conroe, this event featured free trees for all Conroe residents. The only requirement for this gift of frees are that residents plant the trees in Conroe and take care of them. Root for Conroe is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to active planting programs in the City of Conroe, educational classes, and an annual tree disbursement in celebration of Arbor Day.

At the event the Montgomery County Master Gardeners provided gardening tips and advice and the Texas A&M Forest Service talked about their forest programs in Montgomery County with attendees.
