2024 Community Trauma Impact Conference advances Trauma-Wise Practices
The Trauma-Informed Montgomery County Task Force and Child Advocates of Montgomery County successfully hosted the 2024 Community Trauma Impact (CTI) Conference: Get in the Game on November 8 at Margaritaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe. Presented by Fitness Project, the event saw an impressive turnout with over 160 attendees, all dedicated to advancing trauma-wise practices within their organizations.
This year’s conference centered on the implementation of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) in various organizational settings. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from world-class speakers, including:
- Troy McPeak: Training & Consultation Specialist at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development
- Dr. Angeliqueca Avery: Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, Approved Provider of Parent Project Courses, and Founder/CEO of Infinite Potential
- Kimberly A. Glaudy: Founder and Marriage & Family Therapist at Family Foundation Initiatives
Ann Marie Ronsman, President and CEO of Child Advocates of Montgomery County, highlighted the significance of the conference, stating, “This is the third year we’ve brought together change-makers who are committed to integrating trauma-wise practices within their organizations. The dedication and passion of our attendees continue to inspire and drive meaningful change in our community.”
The 2024 CTI Conference provided a platform for professionals to engage, learn, and collaborate on strategies to better support children and youth impacted by trauma. The event underscored the importance of community and organizational commitment to trauma-informed care.
In addition to Fitness Project, conference sponsors included MCH Family Outreach, Judge Wayne L. Mack, Boys and Girls Country, and Child Advocates of Montgomery County.
