February 2023 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. Events are virtual, in person, and hybrid, and include Yoga, Breast Cancer Support Group, The Keyes Ingredients healthy nutrition class, Gentle Barre, Bible Study, and more! Learn More

February 24, 2023 – Economic Outlook Conference – The Economic Outlook Conference, produced by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, is a highly anticipated conference for high-profile business leaders to gain insight and knowledge on the trajectory of our economy – and ways to prepare for the growth to come. Global, national and local speakers address attendees on the economy, trends and growth.

February 25, 2023 – Montgomery County Heart Ball – The 2023 Montgomery County Heart Ball will be held on Saturday, February 25 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. This glitzy annual gala includes dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, and is the culmination of the year-round Heart of Montgomery County campaign, focused on CPR education, controlling blood pressure, improving nutrition security, and fighting the tobacco and vaping crisis in our community. The 2023 Montgomery County Heart Ball is presented by St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital and chaired by Kathy Tautenhahn, in loving memory of her husband Scott. Purchase Tickets

- 4th Thursday of the Month – Sip, Shop and Stroll – Come to downtown Conroe for the Sip, Shop and Stroll! Retail shops are open late with light bites and drinks, bars and restaurants have live music and food and drink specials, and you’ll find local vendors and food trucks. The market is open from 6-9pm on Main Street in downtown Conroe. Learn More
- Saturdays from 9am to 1pm – The Woodlands Farmers Market – Located in the Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center, The Woodlands Farmer’s Market is home to vendors offering locally grown produce, grass fed beef, Texas handmade artisan cheeses, goat cheese, sustainably cultivated coffee, local honey, breads & pastries, no sugar-added baked goods, prepared tamales, Indian cuisine & Mediterranean food, gluten-free options, and seasonal products. - Saturdays from 9am to 1pm – Farmers Market on Tamina – Visit your local farmer’s market in Magnolia with a family vibe, with around 50 vendors and a signature complimentary cocktail each week. Learn more

- Sundays, February 12 & 26, 2023 – Conroe Sunday Market – Kroger 336 North hosts the Conroe Sunday Markets – a little bit farmer, a little bit flea, a little bit craft and a little bit of all the things you love, want and need! Learn More
- Sunday, February 26, 2023 – Wunderlich Farm Market & Museum Day – Step back in time as you shop local merchants at this free event. Explore history and shop local vendors all under 150 year old trees. The market is held at Wunderlich Farm, 18218 Theiss Mail Rte Rd, Spring, TX 77379, from 10 am – 2 pm. January 20 – February 25, 2023 – SCI://TECH Exposition – Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA) engages the business community with local private and public schools, offering 13 science, technology, engineering, and math competitions and events. Run as a partnership of EfTA volunteers and local educators, the SCI://TECH Exposition includes one of the largest regional science fairs in the nation reaching thousands of students each year and qualifying students to compete in the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston, as well as state and international competitions. January–March 8, 2023 – Free Tai Chi for Beginners – Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital will host a free 8-week Tai Chi class for beginners. Tai Chi is a very gentle form of movement that results in increased strength and balance, improved circulation, decreased stress, and a multitude of other health benefits. Classes are held at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, 9180 Pinecroft Drive, 2nd Floor in The Daisy Room beginning at 9 a.m. Register Here
February 2-5, 2023 – 6th Annual Lone Star Luau Music Festival – The Lone Star Luau Music Festival is the best little party in paradise! CMA of Texas Songwriter of the Year Thom Shepherd and country recording artist Colby McCabe welcome a stellar lineup of Texas Country and Trop Rock artists along with Nashville Songwriters to Margaritaville Lake Conroe for a four day festival of music and fun. February 4, 2023 – An Evening of Elegance Gala – Rotary Club of The Woodlands’ annual fundraising gala, An Evening of Elegance, will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott beginning at 6:30 pm. This year’s theme is “Get in the Game” as the gala takes place a week before the Super Bowl. Guests can ‘get in the game’ by wearing a favorite football jersey or choose to wear a formal gown. February 4, 2023 – Backyard Composting Class – Learn from Montgomery County Master Gardeners the simple, cost-effective way to enrich your lawn and garden with compost made in your own backyard. Compost is the best way to improve soil’s health and ability to hold moisture while managing yard trimmings at the same time. February 5, 2023 – Cars & Coffee for a Cause – The Woodlands Car Club gathers at Market Street the first Sunday of each month from 6:30-10:00 am for a morning gathering to show off special vehicles within the car community, be a supportive partner with Market Street and the local community, share information about needful non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, and to give back monetarily as well. TWCC collects coins/change to donate to the Market Street “Change for Charities” program that benefits non-profit organizations in Montgomery County. Learn More
February 7, 2023 – Gulf Coast Blood Drive – The Woodlands Township will be hosting a blood drive at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm benefitting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. Learn More
February 8, 2023 – Galentine’s Day Lunch benefitting YES TO YOUTH – Grab your gal pals and head to Truluck’s Seafood for a Galentine’s Day Lunch benefitting YES TO YOUTH! The social reception begins at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at 12:15. The event is open seating, no reservations required. Learn More
February 9, 2023 – Designer Purse Bingo – The Designer Purse Bingo is a ladies event featuring door prizes, dinner, a fabulous silent auction, and of course, amazing designer bags! Funds raised at this event support Society of Samaritans, a nonprofit that provides food, clothes, household items, and emergency rent/mortgage preventing eviction for families and the homeless in Southwest Montgomery County. February 10, 2023 – Valentine’s Plant and Seed Swap – Meet in the Community Engagement Area downstairs in the Lone Star College – Tomball Community Library to swap small plants or cuttings for propagation and exchange knowledge on plant care! Attendees can bring plants and cuttings to swap and there will also be a free table to leave plants, seeds, or cuttings for people just getting started. There will be holiday-themed refreshments and a rollout of the library’s new seed library for the event! No registration is required. The swap starts at 3:00 pm. Learn More
February 11, 2023 – Pokemon Scavenger Hunt – Pokemon and their spirit animals are hiding on the trail! Search and learn about them all using a trial map, scavenger hunt info and signage. The Pokemon Scavenger Hunt, organized by The Woodlands Township, starts at 11:00 a.m. at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center Tree House #1. Ages 4+. Learn More
February 11, 2023 – Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala – Montgomery County Food Bank’s Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala will take place at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. The premier fundraising event’s proceeds will benefit Montgomery County Food Bank and the food insecure children, families and seniors it serves. Learn More
February 11, 2023 – 9th Annual Community Tree Planting Event – Volunteers are invited to join the fun planting thousands of native trees and shrubs as part of The Township’s ongoing reforestation efforts. The year’s event will be held at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center and Dog Park, located at 6535 Creekside Forest Drive, from 8 am to noon. Registration is required. Learn More
February 11 & 14, 2023 – Valentine’s Swan Boat Ride – There’s something enchanting about seeing a graceful swan boat surrounded by beautiful lights under the night sky. Bring along your significant other (or best friend) and experience this special event. Swan boats fit up to four people; adults must be present. Fee (Per Swan Boat): $50. February 17-19, 2023 – Winter Conroe Swap Meet – Hot Rods of Texas is hosting its Winter Conroe Swap Meet at the Lone Star Convention Center from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm all three days. Learn More
February 18, 2023 – 58th Annual Go Texan Parade – Celebrate the start of the of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ at the Go Texan Parade as decorative floats intermingle with hundreds on horseback to fill the streets with hoof beats, marching bands, elected officials, businesses, and organizations. Enthusiastic parade spectators can line the streets and sidewalks to be involved in one of the area’s most popular celebrations! The parade takes place at 1:00 pm in downtown Conroe. Learn More
February 18, 2023 – Muddy Trails 5K – The Muddy Trails 5K will take place at Rob Fleming Park beginning at 3 p.m. The chip-timed 5K course winds through the beautiful 1,800-acre George Mitchell Nature Preserve and ends with a festive post-race party featuring live zydeco music and the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Learn More
February 18, 2023 – Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance – The Woodlands Township’s 24th Annual Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance will be a fabulous evening where dads and their daughters can spend time together, held at The Woodlands Resort from 6:00 – 9:30 pm. February 18, 2023 – Park Watch in Panther Creek – Park Watch is an event designed to create a proactive community effort to resolve resident issues, concerns, criminal activity, and to deter future crimes in the park and the surrounding areas of the neighborhood. February 24-26,2023 – Lone Star Throwdown – The Lone Star Throwdown car show will be held at The Lone Star Convention Center showcasing amazing vehicles at this three-day event. Learn More
February 25, 2023 – Touch-A-Truck– Mark your calendars for a fun-filled morning at the annual Touch-A-Truck! Get up close and personal with all kinds of big trucks, off-road mudders, various first responder vehicles, and more! In the event of inclement weather, event may be cancelled. Learn More
February 26, 2023 – Concert in the Park – Concert in the Park is a popular free family tradition of music and fun for all ages held at Northshore Park Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Samy Jo, playing variety music, is the musician for February 26.
PET OF THE MONTH
Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive, highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
