November 3 – Bark in the Park Dog Walk – Get ready for some tail-wagging fun! Grab a leash and prepare for some tail-wagging fun when Bark in the Park returns to Grand Central Park on Saturday at The Lake House at 715 Camp Strake Road. The fun starts at 8:00 a.m. with a walk for well-behaved dogs and their owners followed by an after party featuring a pup kissing booth, Houston Disc Dogs, music, contests, pet vendors, food trucks, face painting and a bouncy house. November 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25 – Texas Renaissance Festival – The Texas Renaissance Festival is the nation’s largest and most acclaimed Renaissance themed event. Established in 1974, the event attracts over half a million visitors each year to its 55-acre recreation of a 16th Century European village. This immersive experience features world renowned live entertainment, works by master artists and craftspeople, award winning food and drink, hand-powered rides and games, and over 100 interactive characters during its nine themed weekends from Sept. 29 through Nov. 25, 2018. The festival and the adjacent Fields of New Market Campground are located in Todd Mission, Texas 50 miles northwest of downtown Houston. Texas Renaissance Festival 1001 Dreams

November 4 – Canopy Quest – MINI of The Woodlands is hosting a one-of-a-kind fundraiser with a scavenger hunt on Sunday, November 4, 2018 to raise funds and awareness for Canopy, a Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. After the scavenger hunt, there will be a finale festival where the whole family is invited to partake in games, raffle prizes and food. Register Here

November 10 – Montgomery County Heart Association Heart Walk – How can you can make a positive difference in the lives of your friends, family and co-workers? Join walkers from across the community for the 2018 Montgomery County Heart Walk to raise funds for the organization. Nearly 1 million Americans across the country will be walking this year to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Register Here

November 15 – The Lone Star College SBDC Small Business Awards  – Held at the Lone Star College Community Building in The Woodlands, the 32nd Annual Small Business of the Year Awards celebrates and recognizes local small businesses and owners throughout the Lone Star College service area whose success and economic impact are key to the local communities and economies in Harris and Montgomery counties. November 22 – YMCA Run Thru the Woods – A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, YMCA Run Thru the Woods, has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities for 27 years. The event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and exercise for all ages. Register Here

November 29 – January 6 – The Enchanted Forest – The Enchanted Forest is a multi-sensory light, dance and theatre installation at the Glade Arts Foundation that invites audiences to experience a magical winter forest in and around the Glade Arts Foundation building on Woodlands Parkway. Inspired by the book The Fox and The Star by Coralie Bickford-Smith, it tells a story of timeless friendship and the magic of nature. Audiences will move through the indoor-outdoor installation as they encounter an enchanting, interactive world of lights, acrobatics and dance. The experience is family-friendly and welcomes audiences of all ages. It is wheelchair accessible and offer some sensory-friendly performances. Purchase tickets

The Enchanted Forest at Glade Arts Foundation

November 30 – 14th Annual Signatures Author Series – The John Cooper School Fine Arts Council has announced that internationally acclaimed bestselling novelist Kevin Kwan is the featured speaker for the 14th Annual Signatures Author Series that brings high profile authors to The Woodlands each year. Kwan’s critically acclaimed debut novel, Crazy Rich Asians, became an international bestseller and a box office hit as a major motion picture version. The 2018 Signatures luncheon will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center and features local authors, book signings and a VIP book signing with the author for major table sponsors. November 1, 8, 15 – Rock the Row – Experience Hughes Landing on scenic Lake Woodlands with live music Thursday evenings! Rock the Row features local and regional bands playing a variety of favorites from classic rock and pop to Motown during the summer and fall. Learn More

November 2 – Nick’s Local Eats Fall Food Truck Frenzy – Nick’s Local Eats is throwing a party for all of Foodie friends including Family friendly fun, exclusive $10 specials from each food truck, raffles, giveaways, beer and wine specials, special guest dessert vendor and more surprises. Kid and Pet friendly! Food trucks include The Better Half Gourmet, YenYeh Japanese Steak, Tambo US, special dessert vendor Caroline Cobell of Caroline’s Kitchen – Home of #TamaleMagic, face painting for the kids by Joanne Newlin of Texas Gals, and music and entertainment by Melissa Starling. November 3 – Out of the Darkness Community Walk – The official 2018 Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held at Town Green Park benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Come together to raise awareness and funds for the cause and unite in solidarity and remembrance for the loved ones lost to suicide. This family friendly event will feature opening and closing ceremonies, resource tents, community organization tents, food and beverage stations, activities for children as well as memorials for all to participate in. November 3 – Spring Fire Station 75 Grand Opening – On Saturday, November 3 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., the Spring Fire Department welcomes the community to the grand opening of Fire Station 75 at 3915 FM 2920. There will be a ceremony for the opening, activities for the whole family and refreshments provided by the Rafter 7 Cooking Team, HEB and Blue Bell. Learn More

November 3 – The Woodlands Art Crawl & Craft Beer Tasting – Enjoy an art crawl to take in outdoor sculptures and art benches guided by a map along Hughes Landing. Guests who purchase a $15 wristband will enjoy craft beer samples and food tastings from a selection of dining experiences in Restaurant Row. There will be live entertainment, music, artists’ booths, 3D sidewalk artists, and sketch artists. A portion of the proceeds benefits The Woodlands Arts Council. Learn More

November 3, 10, 17, & 24 – The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill – Every Saturday, the Grogan’s Mill Center hosts the The Woodlands Farmer’s Market, a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association. The Market, open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – noon, has a wide variety of vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads and specialty foods. Profits from the Market are returned to the community through the Grogan’s Mill Village Association’s philanthropic programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, college scholarships from, support of CISD schools and Good Citizen Awards. Learn More

November 8 – Walk in the Woods Nature Lecture Series – Explore nature at your backdoor! Speakers reveal our rich eco-system with a close-up view of extraordinary wildlife and plants. This free event is offered once a month from September to November. Each program features a keynote speaker and a walk through nature. The topic for November is Snakes of The Woodlands. Learn More

November 9, 10 & 11 – A Little Princess: A Story About the Power of Imagination – Based on the classic Victorian novel, all ages will enjoy this musical that shares the story of a young girl who uses kindness and creativity to overcome all odds. Audience members of all ages will enjoy being transported from London to Africa to learn how the power of imagination can change the world. Show times are November 9-10 @ 7:00 p.m. and November 10-11 @ 2:00 p.m. at the Glenn Performing Arts Center at The John Cooper School. Get Tickets

November 10 – 3R Bazaar – Celebrate America Recycles Day at The Woodlands Farmer’s Market! Receive an exclusive reusable bag to shop the market and explore the 3R Bazaar for opportunities to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Shop local vendors who feature repurposed materials and create your own upcycled masterpiece. Bring alkaline batteries and worn out clothing items for free recycling. There will also be free secure document shredding. Donations of $5 or 5 canned food items per box encouraged. Learn More

November 10 – An Introduction to the Darkroom – In this two hour class hosted at Glade Gallery from 10:00 a.m. to noon, learn the concepts of B&W film photography and how to make prints in a darkroom. A short lecture will be followed by hands on darkroom printing of photograms. This class is appropriate for ages 16 and up, OR a child age 10+ may take the class if a parent is also enrolled. This is a fun activity for a child and parent to do together! Learn More

November 10 & 11 – 23rd Annual Children’s Festival – The Annual Children’s Festival is back, featuring Sesame Street LIVE! C is for Celebration. With performers on multiple stages, character meet and greets and activities located all around the venue, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Learn More

November 11 – Veteran’s Day Tribute – The ceremony will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, and remarks by local dignitaries. A care package drop-off booth will also be onsite to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops abroad. The tribute is from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. and is free of charge. Learn More

November 15 – Chamber Concert Series – Glade Arts Foundation is hosting a multi-disciplinary and collaborative chamber concert series delivered by The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra under the artistic direction of Darryl Bayer. The chamber series will consist of four concerts held on the third Thursday of each month. On November 15th the third concert in the chamber series takes a twist to present “Jazz in the Woods” performed by musical force Woody Witt, internationally recognized tenor-saxophonist and resident of The Woodlands. November 16, 17, & 18 – Junior League Holiday Market – The 15th Annual Junior League Holiday Market is a shopping extravaganza event that features a variety of items. From flower arrangements to personalized gifts to holiday ornaments, start holiday shopping early. Learn More

November 16 – TADA’s 4th Annual Nutcracker Soirée – The 4th Annual Nutcracker Soirée will be an evening of dinner, dancing, entertainment by Texas Academy of Dance Arts’ Nutcracker cast, Christmas vendors, silent auction, snowfall, pictures with Santa, and more! This family friendly fun event will be held at Augusta Pines Golf Club from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit TADA’s Nutcracker Production, as well as the Will Herndon Fund for Juvenile Batten Disease Research. Tickets go on sale on October 15th ~ reserve seats early and have a chance for your little ones to sit with the Snow Queen, Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and more incredible characters. Learn More

November 17 – Opening Day of The Ice Rink – The Woodlands Town Center officially opens for the holidays Saturday, November 17, 2018 through Monday, January 21, 2019. The facility, located near the north gate entry of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the intersection of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive, features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, tables for parties and concessions. November 17 – 36th Annual Lighting of the Doves – The Lighting of the Doves Festival is a long-standing tradition in The Woodlands that signifies the start of the holiday season in the community with the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves. Featuring snow play areas, vendor booths, children’s activities and strolling entertainment, Lighting of the Doves culminates with a special appearance by Santa Claus arriving by sleigh down The Woodlands Waterway and a dazzling fireworks display. Learn More

November 18 – Wilderness Survival Class – Participants will learn about the survival mindset, conventional and alternative fire methods, signaling, water collection, basic snare construction, protection from the elements, and more in this learn-by-doing class. Attendees will need comfortable seasonable clothing, sun glasses, sunscreen, and be prepared to have some fun! The class will be held at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park from from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. All equipment will be provided. The class is for ages 14 and up; 11 and older if participating with a parent. Learn More

November 23 – Santa Claus Puppet Show – Carranza Puppets will visit The Woodlands Children’s Museum for 2 performances of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Each performance is 30 minutes and features a hand-held puppet show with favorite holiday characters. The show is recommended for ages 7 and under and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Learn More

November 23 – Blue Friday on Lake Woodlands – Avoid the lines at the store and come out to the lake this year! Blue Friday will be a fun way for people of all ages to enjoy some time in the outdoors. Visit Riva Row for a trip kayaking the entire lake with fun activities such as bird watching and sightseeing. Learn More

November 29 – Holly Jolly Jingle – Join this annual tradition and enjoy caroling, performances by local students, and holiday fun to get ready for the season at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Admission is free. Learn More

November 29 – WISE Conference – The 6th Annual WISE Conference will be held at Thursday, November 29th at the Lone Star College System, Lone Star Community Building at 5000 Research Forest Dr. The Woodlands from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The WISE Conference is designed to Inspire, Support, and Empower in a fun, upbeat networking environment. It will cater to professionals with a desire to learn more about work-life balance through motivational speakers and educational demonstrations. Learn more

November 29 – Karaoke & Cocktails for a Cause – Help the Uresti Giving Foundation fight to END pediatric cancer! Join us November 29th for Karaoke & Cocktails for a Cause at the Dosey Doe Big Barn to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This fun filled evening aims to raise funds to ease the financial and emotional impact experienced by children with cancer and their families by providing basic needs financial support during a very emotional and challenging time. November 30 – 4th Annual Fine Art Christmas Extravaganza – Come enjoy an evening of fine art, music, dessert and drinks with a special music performance by harpist Eulice Vial at the show “2 Girls, a Guy, and a Trailer…and More.” Show opens Friday, November 30, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The opening artist reception is Friday, November 30, 2018, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Learn More
