September 30 – October 1 – YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge – Registration is now open for the 22nd Annual YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge, presented by Repsol! The four-day event, scheduled for September 30 — October 3, will be held at Northshore Park in The Woodlands. Teams participate in a single 4-hour bracket, 8 a.m.—Noon or 2-6 p.m. Teams are encouraged to register early because limited spaces are available. Admission is free for spectators. Register here

October – Purchase tickets toThe Junior League Holiday Market – The Junior League Holiday Market will be held on November 19, 20, & 21, 2021! Don’t miss this shopping extravaganza event that features a variety of items from flower arrangements to personalized gifts to holiday ornaments, you can begin your holiday shopping early and even have time left over to buy yourself something special. October 16 –Northwest Harris County Heart Walk – Northwest Harris County Heart Walk is on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Lone Star College – University Park located at 20515 State Highway 249, Houston, TX 77070! The American Heart Association is bringing you a one-of-a-kind experience to join together with friends, family and colleagues to get moving and focusing on improved health, all while helping to defeat heart disease and stroke. October 16 – The John Cooper School Admissions Open House – Join The John Cooper School for an Open House on October 16, 2021! Middle School (6-8) will be held from 1 to 3 p.m and Upper School (9-12) will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Register Here

October 16 – Shrek-Tacular Halloween Movie Night – Celebrate Halloween at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with a movie night under the stars on Saturday, October 16! Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and Movie starts at 7 p.m. Families are encouraged to come in costume for a screening of Shrek on the venue’s large LED screens. Mezzanine and lawn seating are FREE. Tickets for GA orchestra seating are $10 each and include unlimited popcorn. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for the event sponsored by Woodforest National Bank. Please note popcorn is not included with lawn and mezzanine seating; however, lawn chairs will be provided for free. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and girls to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade. Wristbands are required to participate in the Goblin Parade. Learn More

October 21 – Wine and Food Week’s H-E-B Wine Walk – The H-E-B Wine Walk at Market Street covers three blocks of Market Street and is jam-packed with a cornucopia of culinary creations, wine displays with industry experts, craft beers, live music, and incredible wine experiences. More than 40 wine tasting tents, 40+ craft beer selections and dozens of culinary offerings from area restaurants, chefs and caterers will be featured on Market Street. Bring your thirst as tasting stations will offer choices from 250+ beverages. Learn More

October 30 – Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk – Join the American Heart Association for the 2021 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk on Saturday, October 30, 2021! While you are out there pounding the pavement and strengthening your heart, you will have the opportunity to save lives by raising funds for innovative research that leads to new treatments and cures. This is the kind of science that saves the lives of millions of moms, dads, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, babies, the people we love. Register Today

September 22 – October 2021 – Artisan Culture’s One Year Anniversary – Join us at Artisan Culture (starting Wednesday, September 22) to celebrate their one year anniversary! Enjoy drip coffee, nitro, and cold brew on tap PLUS delicious new food options! Artisan Culture is a local coffee shop located at 3002 Sawdust Rd, The Woodlands, TX 77380 that offers fresh coffee from farmers around the world that is in-house roasted daily. Artisan Culture has a goal of offering a EV charging station, zerowaste sustainability, now has a bike rack and offers a bike discount, and is also currently running a fundraiser for a Nikola Tesla statue to be created by artist Lori Bets. October 2021 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is open for classes and programs! Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. Learn More

October 1-31 – Montgomery County Food Bank Mobile Markets – Mobile Markets are temporary drive thru distribution centers where pre-packaged bags of groceries will be provided to Montgomery County residents in need, while supplies last. Residents can drive up to the Mobile Market, stay in their car, and MCFB’s partner agencies and trained volunteers will load the groceries safely into their car. Learn more

October 2 – Magnolia Vintage Market – The Magnolia Vintage Market is held on the 1st Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in front of HeBrews Coffeehouse in Magnolia with vendors that sell classic and vintage pieces plus items such as candles in vintage glassware, handmade jewelry, home decor, handmade soaps, and more.Learn more

October 2 – Arts in the Park “All You Need is Love – Arts in the Park presents “All You Need Is Love” with The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra and Beatles tribute band, Beetle, on Saturday, October 2 at Rob Fleming Park. Arrive early for pre-show activities beginning at 6 p.m. and the symphony performance at 7 p.m. Learn more

October 4 – Deadline to Register to Vote – The deadline to register to vote in the November 2, 2021 Election is October 4, 2021. Early voting begins on October 18, 2021.Learn more

October 5 – Build the Walls – On October 5 from 2-6 p.m., Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County will be building walls for a Habitat home in Market Street – The Woodlands!Habitat for Humanity will have activities for everyone, from kids to adults. You will have the opportunity to purchase a stud to go into a Habitat home or sign the studs as we build them into walls! Learn more

October 7 –“Gradient” A Group Exhibition – Glade Gallery in The Woodlands is hosting an art exhibition on Thursday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m titled “Gradient” which features a group exhibition of Texas artists consisting of drawing, painting, photography, monotypes, mixed media, glass and ceramic sculptures. The exhibition is curated by Annette Palmer and noted as “an evocative journey through monochrome and technicolor, realism and intuition, light, bright and dark.”Learn more

October 8-10 –32nd Annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival – Come on out to Downtown Conroe for the 32nd Annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival brought to you by The Friends of Conroe. The family-friendly event features non-stop live music with local, regional and national performers on three stages, food vendors offering festival and Cajun favorites, arts & crafts vendors, a professional carnival, assorted community and educational exhibits, an annual Catfish Pageant and a KidZone area with activities for children and a special performance stage featuring local dance teams, community groups and entertainers.Learn more

October 8 – Mad Hatter Tea Party – Save the DATE… Don’t be LATE… for the Mad Hatter Tea Party at The Woodlands Children’s Museum! Join the Queen of Hearts, Alice and the Mad Hatter for child-friendly tea, cookie decorating and photo opportunities. Get hands-on creating hats until 2 p.m. and all day enjoy creating a special tea cup art project.Learn more

October 9 – IRONMAN Texas – For over 10 years, IRONMAN Texas has called those with the Texan-spirit at heart. Athletes will take on a 2.4-mile, point-to-point swim, a PR pace 112-mile ride on closed toll roads and experience one of the most spirited 26.2 mile runs in North America – starting and finishing right here in The Woodlands.Learn more

October 9 – 31 – Fall Festival at The Good Stuff Farm – Join The Good Stuff Farm in New Waverly for their 2nd Annual Fall Festival from October 9 through October 31 – open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy activities such as a 30 acre hayride, thousands of pumpkins, walk in the woods, bounce house, face painting, corn hull, fresh flower crowns, food vendors, small farmer goods, music and dancing, and more! Tickets are $14 for adults, $5 kids 5-17 years old, and free kids 4 and under.Learn more

October 11 – “The Future is Here!” Fall Concert – The Montgomery County Choral Society’s Fall Concert will be held on Monday, October 11 at 7 p.m. at the First Methodist Conroe Church and feature local school choirs showcasing just how bright the future of music in Montgomery County really is!Learn more

October 16 –End Human Trafficking – Setting Captives Event – The Montgomery County Coalition Against Human Trafficking is hosting their End Human Trafficking – Setting Captives Free event on October 16 starting at 10 a.m. at Town Green Park. Come join us for this amazing family event meant to educate, equip, and empower you and our community.Learn more

October 16 – National Night Out Community Safety Expo – The Community Safety Expo, one of The Woodlands’ National Night Out Programs, is a day of food, fun, and public safety demonstrations for the entire community at Northshore Park from 12 to 3 p.m. Admission is free to the public.Learn more

October 18 –The John Cooper School Golf Tournament – The 34th Annual John Cooper School Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, October 18 at The Woodlands Country Club, Palmer Course. Please join the Cooper Community for a fun day of golf, chipping and putting contests, dinner, and awards benefiting the Dragon Booster Club. Register here

October 23 – Taste of the Village – The Indian Springs Village Association’s annual Taste of the Village will showcase products and services from local businesses at the Indian Springs Shopping Center on Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds from the event support local students through the Indian Springs Village Association’s College Scholarship Fund for Indian Springs Residents and local schools. October 23 –OctoBEARFest – Bear Etc.’s tastiest event of the year is back on Saturday, October 23 at Souther Star Brewery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! OctoBEARFest includes BBQ Cook Off, Vendor Area, Kids Area (including bounce houses, yard games, and face painting), and this year craft beer thanks to Southern Star Brewery! Entry tickets are $10 for ages 5 and up. Learn more

October 23 – Trick or Treat Trail – Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual free community favorite, Trick or Treat Trail at Northshore park from 2 – 6 p.m. Learn more

October 23 – Halloween at the Y – Enjoy free family fun featuring trick-or-treat stops, carnival type games, concessions, t-shirts,  and more at the Halloween at the Y event, outdoors at the Shadowbend YMCA from 3 – 5 pm. Halloween at the Y is an all ages, community event – bring a friend and wear your costumes! Admission is free with a non-perishable donation for the local food pantry. Learn more

October 24 –Cochran’s Crossing Village Association Fall Festival – The annual Cochran’s Crossing Village Association Fall Festival will be held at Shadowbend Park, featuring games, food, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and more, from 1-4 p.m. The event is free for all residents. Learn more

October 30 – CASA Superhero Fun Run – Walk, Run, or contribute with the Hero Zero K to support CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates of Montgomery County, Texas. The event will be held at the Lake House at Grand Central Park starting at 7:30 a.m. Learn more

October 30 –College Park Fall Festival & Spooktacular – The College Park Fall Festival & Spooktacular will be held at Harper’s Landing Park and Pavilion from 1-4 p.m. This free fall event is for all ages and open to all College Park residents. Enjoy free food, fun, children activities, music, and more. Learn more

October 30 – Night of Hope – Love Fosters Hope is celebrating 21 years of serving children in foster care! Join Love Fosters Hope, a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that brings hope, healing and a bright future to children and teens in foster care who have been abused, abandoned and neglected, at The Woodlands Resort on October 30 at 6 p.m. Proceeds from Night of Hope will benefit Love Fosters Hope programs.Learn more

EVENT UPDATES

The Woodlands Celebration of Excellence Gala originally scheduled for October 2, 2021 has been rescheduled to April 1, 2022 when Interfaith of The Woodlands “plans to honor our Hometown Heroes in the traditional, grand presentation that they deserve after decades of service to our community.” Read more

The Memorial Hermann In The Pink of Health Luncheon scheduled for October 22, 2021 has been cancelled. In The Pink of Health will be distributing donated dollars to charitable partners in January. Read more
