Celebration of Excellence Gala honors Six Hometown Heroes, raises funds for Interfaith

By  |

Interfaith of The Woodlands proudly recognized six new Hometown Heroes at the Celebration of Excellence Gala on Friday, February 28 held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. With over 600 guests in attendance, the Gala, presented by Woodforest National Bank, successfully raised nearly $650,000 to support Interfaith’s mission of assisting neighbors in need throughout South Montgomery County. These vital funds will provide essential resources for individuals and families in crisis, including food, shelter, clothing vouchers, rent, mortgage and utility assistance, and programs for our Senior neighbors, and more.

Chaired by Julie Lile and Jen McDonald, this year’s Gala was a spectacular evening dedicated to honoring outstanding Hometown Heroes who have made significant contributions to our community. The “Dancing in the Moonlight” theme brought the ballroom to life with a luxe, moody ambiance, dark, elegant floral arrangements crafted by Piney Rose, and chic 1970s-inspired décor, honoring the era in which Interfaith was founded. A heartfelt thank you to our honorary chairs, Mary Anne and Mark Whitney, for their unwavering support and commitment to Interfaith’s mission.
