Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office turns Retail Theft Bust into Community Support

By  |

On December 2, 2016, Deputies with the District 6 Patrol Division were dispatched to the Macy’s store inside The Woodlands Mall in reference to a large retail theft in progress. Upon arrival, deputies detained 3 individuals and a follow-up search revealed a large quantity of stolen clothing and merchandise from multiple retail locations.

As a result of this comprehensive investigation, the three suspects have been charged with Theft and Unlawful Use of a Criminal Instrument.

In a remarkable turn of events, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce a partnership with the Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC) to donate the recovered clothing items.

These items will be put to good use by the families at MCWC, which provides crucial support to women, children, and families who are victims of domestic abuse in Montgomery County. This collaboration allows us to turn a negative situation into an opportunity to help those in need within our community.
