The Woodlands Christian Academy honors Veterans with Interactive Tributes
The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA) commemorated Veterans Day on Friday, November 14, with creative and interactive tributes designed by middle school students to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

As students and guests arrived on campus, they were greeted by a display of student-created posters lining the walkway to the David Gym. These posters paid tribute to veterans among TWCA’s staff, families, and the broader community.
Each grade level brought a unique element to their tributes:
- 5th grade students selected a veteran and created a poster to honor them.
- 6th grade students recorded voice summaries of an interview they conducted with a veteran.
- 7th grade students filmed interviews with veterans, capturing first-hand stories of service and sacrifice.
- 8th grade students produced short life documentaries that highlight the experiences and legacies of those who served.

Visitors had the opportunity to scan QR codes on the 6th-8th grade posters to view and listen to these special projects.
Adding to the excitement, 6th and 7th grade students hosted “recruiting stations” inside the David Gym, where peers and guests can explore different branches of the U.S. military. Through engaging activities and friendly competition, participants discovered which branch they might be inspired to join based on student presentations and military knowledge.
This Veterans Day event reflected TWCA’s commitment to fostering gratitude, respect, and understanding for those who have served, while providing students with hands-on learning experiences that connect faith, community, and history.
The Woodlands Christian Academy also honored veterans with a Lower School Honor Choir Veteran’s Day Concert on Tuesday, November 11. The public was invited to attend the concert at 6:30 pm at the beautiful, new outdoor amphitheater on campus. Read more
