Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office apprehends Violent Felony Suspect after Residential Assault

The following is a press release “Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Apprehends Violent Felony Suspect After Residential Assault”received on February 19, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

On February 15, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 6 Patrol Division responded to an assault call in the 100 block of Summer Crest Circle.

Upon arrival, deputies met with a female victim who reported that her ex-boyfriend had forced entry into her home by breaking a window. Once inside, the suspect assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

While units were on-scene assisting the victim, a Deputy searching the surrounding area spotted a vehicle matching the suspect’s description. This quick observation allowed responding units from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office to successfully locate the suspect and take him into custody without further incident.

The suspect has been identified as [a 32-year-old suspect] of Spring, TX. Hernandez has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on felony charges of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony and Assault Family/Household Member – Impeding Breath/Circulation.

[The suspect] is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
