The Woodlands Christian Academy holds Experiential Learning Day ‘Created to Connect – Pollinators: Small Creatures, Big Impact’
The Woodlands Christian Academy held an Experiential Learning Day called “Created to Connect – Pollinators: Small Creatures, Big Impact” for middle school students on Friday, March 6.

In the “Created to Connect” session, students learned about Poetry, Prose, and Purpose in Pollination. Students read a short story, poetry, and informational texts plus wrote nature poetry (called “tanka”, a short poem and traditional Japanese form of poetry).

During the Experiential Learning Day, students also learned about different flowers and their adaptations for their pollinators, then created their own flower in a design challenge. Later, students participated in a kickball competition followed by a Pollinators Escape Room activity, solving problems to earn parts for their pollinator habitat.

The Woodlands Christian Academy is an independent, Christ-centered college preparatory school that integrates learning with Biblical faith and spiritual growth, and challenges students to reach their highest potential – intellectually, creatively, physically, and socially – for the glory of Jesus Christ.
