Pet of the Month with Operation Pets Alive: Meet Sunny
Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive (OPA), highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
For our Pet of the Month, we are excited to introduce you to Sunny!
Meet Sunny
Sunny is looking for someone to love again!
For 11 beautiful years, Sunny lived the life every cat deserves — safe, cherished, and deeply bonded to her person. She was rescued as a kitten and spent over a decade as a loyal best friend, always close by, always loving, always there.
Then heartbreak came. Her beloved person unexpectedly passed away, and suddenly Sunny lost the only home and heart she had ever known.
Now this rare and beautiful female orange tabby is searching for a second chance.
Sunny is 11 years young, but don’t let the “senior” label fool you — she still loves to play, happily begs for treats, and has so much love left to give. Her favorite place in the world is right beside her human: curled up next to you, sleeping by your side, soaking in pets and chin scratches.
She is wonderful with dogs, kind with people, and gentle with kids. Sunny simply asks for one thing in return: to be your one and only cat. As an only cat, she wants to give all her love to one special person or family again.
Sunny has known loss. She has known love. Now she just needs someone willing to open their heart and let her belong once more.
