From Time Travel to Tropical Nights, City Place unveils start of a Sizzling Summer Lineup
This June, north Houston business and lifestyle destination City Place is settling into summer with a slew of activities. The seasonal fun kicks off on Friday, June 5, with an evening designed for the kids (and the kids at heart); starting with the high-energy Gulf Coast Gamers mobile theater at 6 p.m. before spreading out the blankets for a Pix On The Plaza screening of Back to the Future at 8:30 p.m.
City Place continues its commitment to world-class public art with Arc ZERO from acclaimed Australian artist James Tapscott. Running through August 2, the immersive installation features two ethereal, interactive rings of light and mist – Eclipse and Nimbus – positioned on and along the pond system at City Place Park.

Later in the month, the Houston City Place Marriott fosters a different kind of connection by hosting the 21st Biennial Texas Statewide Conference for Education of the Deaf from June 25 to 27, bringing families and advocates together from across the state. The month draws to a close on Saturday, June 27, with the kickoff of a new series: City Place Summer Nights, an evening of live music, specialty shopping, food truck treats, and starlit strolling.
All programming takes place on and around The Plaza at 1250 Lake Plaza Drive and is complimentary unless otherwise noted. For updates and details, visit cityplacenow.com or follow along on Instagram @CityPlaceNow.
