“A Collection of Perspectives” PACT Art Show now on display
On the evening of Thursday, November 21, The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios hosted the opening reception for “A Collection of Perspectives” Group Art Show featuring art by Professional Artists of Central Texas (PACT).
PACT is a non-profit, fine art organization made up of professional artists residing within the central Texas area. PACT is also a juried membership of professional artists where members have group shows several times a year. Through sharing ideas and networking, art careers are promoted individually, and as a group. PACT advocates for art education and encourages the development of emerging artists. The members are available for shows, demonstrations, workshops, commissions and coaching. Learn more about PACT and its members at www.pactart.org.
Artist and PACT member Barbara Fontaine-White attended the opening reception of the art show. Fontaine-White sees landscape as a physical experience, which forges a relationship with herself, the viewer and the painting.
The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios is located at 208 Nursery Rd. The Woodlands, TX 77380. Opening reception attendees had the opportunity to see the beautiful art collection and enjoy refreshments. The art show will be on display until January 10, 2025.

The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios offers original fine art from regional artists and guests share it is more “like a home in the woods rather than a cavernous art gallery” – in fact most of the furniture is from the gallery owner’s previous home. Artist and Owner Emily Chiles Startz moved to the “Best Town to Live In,” The Woodlands, Texas, and opened The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios in December 2021. Emily also has her art studio in the gallery where she creates abstracts, landscapes, and portraits.
The gallery sells art from featured artists, displays art on a consignment basis from local artists and works of art from their art-loving neighbors, sells used books in their Reading Room, and now features a Gift Shop. The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios is open Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m.– 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.– 2 p.m., and is closed Sunday and Monday.
