Buffalo Sauce Dishes in South Woodlands & North Spring

By  |

Invented in the 1960’s in Buffalo, New York, Buffalo sauce has become a near obligatory inclusion on restaurant menus with ever increasing popularity. The tangy, spicy sauce has found life beyond just the standard buffalo wing, and is now on everything from shrimp to cauliflower bites.

Not to be confused with Hot Wings, their spicy, chile pepper based cousin, the Buffalo wing remains, undoubtedly, the most popular option to be “Buffalo’d.” Generally a combination of vinegar, cayenne, butter, and Worcestershire sauce, foods coated in this spicy sauce are often served with celery and ranch or bleu cheese dressing, which helps to cool off the heat from your meal.

Many restaurants use Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, probably the king of commercially available Buffalo Sauce; however, this is generally used as a base with most businesses putting their own spin on it by adding their own special ingredients to create a unique version of the familiar sauce.

Each of the restaurants below have some stellar “Buffalo’d” style foods, from chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, shrimp, and a few surprises.

Here is a sampling of South Woodlands and North Spring Buffalo sauced dishes. Many happen to be on the Sawdust Rd/Rayford Rd corridor.
