Child Advocates of Montgomery County hosts Fourth Annual Cornament, raising funds for children and families in crisis
Child Advocates of Montgomery County held its fourth annual Cornament on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at B52 Brewing Company in Conroe. More than 150 players and guests came out to toss bags in the cornhole tournament and rally behind a mission to empower vulnerable children through volunteer advocacy. Presented by Chesmar Foundation, the event benefited the children and families served by Child Advocates of Montgomery County.
With 50 teams competing in the bracket-style tournament, the afternoon was filled with friendly competition, laughter, and cheers. In addition to the tournament, guests enjoyed live music by Jerry Rowell, a raffle, an elote bar from Bite 23 and food trucks, and a Family Fun Area featuring a professional face painter and balloon artist.
Congratulations to the 2025 Cornament champions:
- 1st place: Justin & Austin with MidSouth Fiber Internet
- 2nd place: Cody*Kyle with Woodforest National Bank
- 3rd place: Slinging Cats
Additional award winners included:

Serving as Cornament co-chairs, Carol Knott Tefft and Jeanne Toth coordinated with Child Advocates President & CEO Ann Marie Ronsman to organize the fall fundraiser.
“This spirited event is a favorite for so many in our community,” Ronsman said. “It’s a chance to enjoy time with friends and family outdoors, all while supporting a mission that brings hope to those who need it most in Montgomery County. Our volunteers are changing lives, one child at a time. We could not do this work without our generous supporters.”
Event sponsors included Chesmar Foundation, EnerCorp, Carol Knott Tefft with RE/MAX Integrity The Hometown Team, Fitness Project, America’s ER + Urgent Care, Waste Connections, Woodforest National Bank, Kimball Insurance, SLB, MidSouth Fiber Internet, Quadvest, and Trel’s Home for Children. Special thanks to event underwriters and in-kind donors: B52 Brewing Company, Kuhn’s Custom Cornhole, Kendra Scott, Signarama Conroe (Woodlands North), Stacey McDowell, and Truluck’s.
