Children’s Safe Harbor holds Capital Campaign Luncheon honoring Kim & Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation
Today Children’s Safe Harbor (CSH) held their Capital Campaign Luncheon honoring Kim & Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

In 2022, the Woodforest Charitable Foundation committed a $2.5 million donation toward the capital campaign of Children’s Safe Harbor’s new building currently under construction in Conroe. It’s not just a building, it’s a gateway.
At the luncheon, CSH’s Executive Director Victoria Constance welcomed guest before Judge Wayne Mack led the invocation. CSH Board Member revealed the video, “A Beacon in the Storm: Guiding Families through Crisis” before the audience watched a video message by Senator Ted Cruz. Luncheon Honorees Kim and Robert Marling shared why CSH’s mission is important to the couple and they are committed to raising awareness. A proclamation on declaring March 28, 2025 as Children’s Safe Harbor Day throughout the city of Houston was made by Houston City Council Member Twila Carter on behalf of Mayor John Whitmire. Houston City Council Member Mary Nan Huffman was the keynote speaker, followed by a representative of Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon’s office that shared the call to action titled “Defy the Darkness.”
Children’s Safe Harbor’s mission is to achieve justice, healing, and hope for every child victim of severe physical abuse, sexual assault, child sex trafficking, neglect, trauma, and to engage the community in that mission. As a nationally-accredited, nonprofit children’s advocacy organization serving the counties of Montgomery County, Walker County, and San Jacinto, Children’s Safe Harbor is part of a nationwide effort to heal the trauma and facilitate justice for abused children ages 2 through 17 and their families.
