Children’s Safe Harbor Pinwheel Art Installation in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month
Representing the number of every child served by Children’s Safe Harbor in 2024 for sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, human trafficking and trauma, 2,245 pinwheels were installed on Tuesday, April 15 at the Lone Star Convention Center, located at 9055 Airport Road, Conroe, Texas 77303.
This is an annual event in recognition of April being national Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. Children’s Safe Harbor staff, members of the county’s child abuse multi-disciplinary team, the Conroe Police Department, Constable Pct. 3 Constable’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and Bikers Against Child Abuse were in attendance and participated in assisting with the installation.
