November 22 – December 24, 2024 – Pictures with Santa at Market Street – Santa Claus himself will be at Market Street greeting children of all ages for the much-loved holiday tradition of photos with Santa! November 23 – December 31, 2024 – Market Street in Lights – Watch as Market Street’s 70-foot Christmas tree and surrounding twinkle lights perform to holiday favorites. November 30, 2024 – Cookies and Cocoa Holiday Bazaar – The Ethel Hedgemon Lyle Foundation Texas will host Cookies & Cocoa Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Dekaney High School. The Holiday Bazaar will be a spectacular indoor holiday market event where friends and family can have fun while making the most of the holiday season. All are invited to this exciting event to kick off the holiday shopping season with vendor displays throughout the 10,000 sq. ft. atrium. December 1, 2024- January 10, 2025 – Giant Gingerbread Village – Come experience City Place’s Annual Gingerbread Village where a trail of giant candy canes, lollipops, gumdrops, gingerbread men, and cookie trees, lead to a 16-foot high house and 12-foot tall windmill. December 1, 2024 – Oak Ridge Tree Lighting – Join the City of Oakridge at their Annual Christmas tree Lighting held at the City’s entrance at 6 p.m. This festive occasion offers a delightful evening featuring hot chocolate, cookies, local vendors, enchanting musical performances by area schools, and a special appearance from Santa Claus. December 3, 2024 – The City of Conroe Tree Lighting Ceremony – The City of Conroe Tree Lighting Ceremony, held at Heritage Place, marks the official start of the Christmas Season for the City of Conroe. December 3, 2024 – Christmas on Main – The Downtown Merchants with the Conroe Downtown Area Association is preparing for the 8th Annual Christmas on Main to take place after the Annual Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 3rd from 6:30pm until 9:30pm throughout the streets of Main, Simonton, and Metcalf and N Thompson. Founder’s Plaza will be the center of music by the Jazz Connection starting promptly at 7 p.m. and will also serve as the drop off for tickets to win bicycles that night. Learn More
December 5, 2024 – Holiday Benefit Concert – You are invited to attend Lone Star College-Montgomery Music and Dance Department’s annual Holiday Benefit Concert on Thursday, December 5 at 7:00pm in the Mainstage Theatre (D100). All proceeds will benefit the charity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This concert will showcase the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers conducted by Dr. Mark Marotto, the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble directed by Reese Burgan, the Creekside Civic Orchestra directed by Dr. Jackson Guillen, and the Dance Department choreographed by Ashley Clos. December 5, 2024 – Holly Jolly Jingle – While Christmas comes but once a year, a live performance like Holly Jolly Jingle can make the whole season feel bright. This annual tradition is inspiring on so many levels: Hearing beloved holiday music performed live makes the spirit soar with nostalgic wonder. Adding your own voice to the tune instills a sense of community all too often forgotten. And knowing that all of the music is performed by student musicians from Conroe ISD is sure to give hope for the future. It’s the only show as magical as Christmas morning itself – don’t miss it! December 5, 2024 – Christmas Dessert & Worship at The Woodlands Methodist Church – Celebrate the arrival of the season at The Woodlands Methodist Church on Thursday, December 5, with an evening of fellowship, powerful worship, and an uplifting message. December 6, 2024 – Deck the Pines – The 3rd annual Deck the Pines Holiday Block Party will kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting, live nativity animals, DJ Chico, rides, face painting, balloon artists and more. December 6 & 7, 13 & 14, 20 & 21, 2024 – Trail of Lights – The Trail of Lights is a community-wide free event, hosted by Tomball Methodist Church, featuring a walk-through trail telling the Christmas story from the Bible as well as many other secular Christmas scenes. December 7, 2024 – SOLD OUT – Glow and Go 5K – Glow and Go 5K (Holiday Edition) will take place on Saturday, December 7, along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 6 p.m. Glow and Go 5K is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will incorporate the full length of the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best holiday attire and glow! December 15, 2024 – Messiah Sing-Along – The Woodlands Methodist Church’s Music Ministry choir, orchestra and soloists will present select portions of Handel’s Messiah for a sing-along on Sunday, December 15, at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
