CISD’s Scott Moore Elected to State Association Board

AUSTIN, TX — Scott Moore of Conroe ISD has been elected to a one-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 6, Position B. The election was held during the Association’s 2021 Delegate Assembly on September 25 in Dallas.

Moore is the first vice-president of the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees. He was first elected to the board in 2016 and reelected in 2020. He is a graduate of Conroe ISD, graduating from (then) McCullough High School in The Woodlands in 1992.

His first career was in law enforcement, serving more than 12 years with city, county, and federal agencies. He held a variety of positions, including patrol, criminal investigations, SWAT, traffic enforcement, field training, and marine patrol. He also has a background in commercial construction.

Moore is an ordained pastor and currently serves as a consultant, working with churches, schools, and nonprofits on construction, security, and leadership development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice from Lamar University and a master of divinity from Southern Methodist University. Moore is currently a doctoral candidate at Our Lady of the Lake University. His dissertation topic is the relationship between school board transformational leadership and classroom educator organizational commitment.
