Conroe Symphony Orchestra 2024-2025 Season features captivating journey for music enthusiasts

Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is thrilled to unveil its 2024-2025 season, promising a captivating journey through diverse musical landscapes. From the beloved tunes of classic animation to the vibrant melodies of global holiday traditions, from the iconic works of American composers to the show-stopping hits of Broadway, this season offers something for every music enthusiast.

Season Highlights

Tunes from the Toons: Relive the magic of animation as the orchestra brings to life the unforgettable scores that have accompanied generations of beloved characters. “We are excited to present our concert Tunes from the Toons looking at the history of how music enhanced animation from the earliest days of Steamboat Willie, Donald Duck, and Tom and Jerry all the way to the modern digital animation of Beauty and the Beast and The Incredibles,” said Gary Liebst, Director. The concert will be October 19 at 2:30 p.m.

Christmas Around the World: Embark on a festive global adventure, exploring the rich tapestry of holiday music from cultures around the globe. This concert will feature two soloists and some fun surprises. It will take place December 14 at 2:30 p.m.

Great Expectations: Experience the timeless brilliance of Gershwin, Bernstein, and Copland, pioneers of American classical music. It will take place February 8 at 2:30 p.m.

The Best of Broadway with Sal Viviano: Conclude the season with a dazzling performance by Broadway star Sal Viviano, featuring the most memorable hits from the Great White Way. The concert will take place April 26 at 2:30 p.m.

Spectacular Soloist Lineup

“I am very excited for our patrons to enjoy a spectacular lineup of soloists for the coming season,” Liebst said. “Everything has fallen in line perfectly to present a really exciting group of instrumentalists and vocalists.”

The season will showcase a remarkable array of talented soloists, including:

  • Olena Blauliac: Ukrainian pianist performing Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, a classic piece featured in numerous animated films.
  • Roberto Gaitan: Young Texas Artist Finalist and tuba virtuoso, delighting audiences with a lively rendition of “Wassail, Wassail All Over the Tuba.”
  • Sonja Bruzauskas: Mezzo-soprano enchanting listeners with Christmas carols from Sweden and Italy.
  • Renee Rybolt: Soprano captivating audiences with George Gershwin’s “Summertime” and a medley of Broadway favorites.
  • Sal Viviano: Broadway sensation returning to Conroe for an unforgettable evening of show-stopping performances.

Patrons will be able to experience the sounds of New York. The CSO is currently offering Season Tickets Packages that include tickets to all four nights. The package comes with two tickets to invite friends to join. All concerts during the season will take place at First Methodist Conroe, 4308 W Davis Street.

Season tickets are on sale now at https://conroesymphony.org/ or by calling the box office at 936-760-2144. The orchestra is funded in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts. The CSO is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment of the Arts.

The CSO was created to contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community, assuring a better quality of life for the Conroe area. Its objective is to provide the region with the best possible musical experience, while creating music lovers and connecting the Conroe community. CSO strives to be recognized as one of the outstanding community orchestras in the state of Texas.
