Fall into Festivals, Book Sales and More at Your Local Library
Montgomery County Memorial System libraries are welcoming fall fun for all ages. October is a full month with book sales and fall fests for all ages, storytimes in costume for children, Teentober special events for young adults, and the Gulf Coast Reads community book club for adults. There’s something for everyone at your library.

Gulf Coast Reads is a regional community reading initiative for adults. Night Will Find You by Julia Heaberlin was selected by popular vote for this year’s Gulf Coast Reads. MCMLS is a library partner for this reading initiative that encourages readers living along the upper Texas Gulf Coast and surrounding area to read and discuss a selected title annually during the month of October. Join in these book club events to celebrate this winning title:

The MCMLS celebrates literacy all year long through fun, educational programs for children, teens, and adults, and by the more than 2.5 million items circulated. The MCMLS was founded and began serving local readers in 1948. Since then, it has grown to serve nearly 400,000 Library patrons and cardholders in seven branches County wide. The System also includes a Law Library and the third largest genealogical collection in a Texas Public Library. More information may be found on the Library website at countylibrary.org.
