“For the Love of Mardi Gras” Brunch benefits local children and teens

By  |

On Saturday, February 16, the “For the Love of Mardi Gras” Brunch was hosted by The Woodlands Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. at the Westin Waterway Hotel in The Woodlands.

For the fifth year in a row, Jack and Jill of The Woodlands partnered with Love Fosters Hope, a Texas-based nonprofit organization that impacts the lives of children and teens in foster care who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

In addition to supporting Love Fosters Hope, Jack and Jill of The Woodlands’s signature Foundation event raises funds to provide academic grants to college bound high school seniors in the Montgomery County and the surrounding areas.

The Woodlands Chapter of Jack and Jill of America will also donate a portion of the Mardi Gras brunch proceeds to the Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Foundation, a 501c(3) non-profit organization which works to inspire and enable all youth to reach their potential through character building, educational, mentoring and cultural programs.

Guests enjoyed the rich taste of Louisiana Cuisine, music, a silent auction and raffle, program and celebration of Mardi Gras while raising funds and awareness for both causes.
