Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery to Participate in National Wreaths Across America™ Day
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery will participate in a nationwide effort to honor local heroes laid to rest in the cemetery, joining 2 million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor, and Teach at more than 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad. Volunteers will place Remembrance wreaths on the headstones of veterans on Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:00 am.
As each wreath is placed, the veteran’s name will be read aloud to ensure the individual who served in the U.S. armed forces is not forgotten.
To help Forest Park The Woodlands lay wreaths at as many graves as possible, you can sponsor a wreath. Wreaths are $15 each, or three for $30. The deadline to purchase a wreath is Nov. 3, 2023. They can be purchased at: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/175358/Overview.
Wreaths can be purchased in the name of a specific veteran, or simply sponsor a veteran who is laid to rest at Forest Park The Woodlands.
Volunteers are also needed to place the wreaths on veterans graves on the day of the event.
